The studio born out of pure visa rejection frustration.
We replaced overpriced photo booths, scammy subscriptions, and rejected consulate appointments with an uncompromising, 100% private in-browser AI vision studio.
A rejected Schengen visa appointment on a rainy Tuesday in Mumbai.
In mid-2024, our founder stood in front of a visa consulate officer in BKC, Mumbai. Everything was in order—tickets, bank statements, itinerary. But the application was abruptly rejected on the spot. The reason? The passport photo taken 30 minutes earlier at a nearby photo kiosk had a head height ratio of 64% instead of the strict Schengen mandate of 70–80%, and the backdrop was slightly off-white.
Rushing to find a fix, we discovered the online alternatives were worse: shady websites demanding $19 recurring weekly subscriptions, blurry cutouts that chopped off ears, or worse—apps that uploaded private, high-resolution biometric selfies to opaque offshore servers.
"Why does a citizen need to pay \$20 or compromise their biometric privacy just to center a headshot and replace a background?"
That weekend, a group of 7 engineers and designers gathered in a small BKC co-working space with one goal: build the world’s most precise, mathematically compliant, 100% private in-browser passport studio.
